For the past 13 years, I have owned and operated my rental shop, and it has been my livelihood, my pride, and a big part of my life. I rent snorkel gear, beach gear, and golf clubs, and over the years I have had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful visitors and families from around the world. I have always tried my best to be a good ambassador of the island and to share the aloha spirit with everyone who walks through my door. Right now, though, after Hurricane Lowell, my area has been hit hard, and my shop has been left without customers.

As a sole proprietor, this shop is my only income, and the slowdown after the hurricane has made it incredibly difficult to keep up with basic operating expenses. I also have a wonderful part-time employee who depends on this job, and I am doing everything I can to keep the shop open and continue employing them. I am not asking for help for extras or personal spending. These funds will go toward covering losses and the basic costs of staying open during this recovery period so my business can make it through this difficult time.
